	MakeitOk is an existing social organization that focuses on reducing the stigma of mental health through conversation and education. A set of three concept campaign posters were designed to communicate the underlying feelings of someone living with depression.&#38;nbsp;

	Rappahannock Food Pantry is a non-profit organization based in Rappahannock County, Virginia, dedicated to addressing food insecurity within its community. They were seeking a refreshed visual identity that captures the essence of the organization while resonating with its current and future audience.

	The new Rappahannock Food Pantry brand introduces a fresh look centering around the idea of community and togetherness in a playful tone. The logo is simple, approachable, and rooted in nature. It features a serif font that strikes a delicate balance between softness and formality. The addition of a leaf motif to the stem of the letter “k” brings an organic, natural element that reinforces the idea of nourishment and growth.

	Hand-drawn illustrations of fresh produce and food items sit at the heart of the brand. To maintain a sense of continuity and recognition, we retain the pantry’s familiar color palette, featuring tones that are warm and bright.
This visual identity reinforces the organization’s sense of unity and belonging. It not only reflects the pantry’s mission but also invites the community to actively participate and support this vital cause.

	A bookie is someone who enjoys the simple pleasure of reading. It is also a conceptual literary festival welcoming readers and writers of diverse ages and backgrounds. The festival features inviting colors and engaging designs to celebrate and promote the literary community in this age-inclusive event. Creating an event that was personal, identifiable, and able to connect with a wider audience was the primary objective behind Bookie.&#38;nbsp;

	The brandmark highlights a bookie in action — completely immersed in a book with just a sliver of the eyes peeking through the top of the pages. A round, san-serif was chosen to balance the sharp contour of the mark.&#38;nbsp;

	Visual Diary Vol. 1 explores the relationship between typography, color, and music featuring Frank Ocean tunes. Experimental typography and expressive colors evoke the emotion within each song and, the addition of imagery serves to create a visual experience for the readers.&#38;nbsp;

	Every semester, the SDSU Graphic Design Department showcases a Senior Portfolio Exhibition where family, friends, and professionals can attend to celebrate the graduating seniors. I was tasked to create the graphics for the Fall 2020 Senior Portfolio Show, held virtually due to unprecedented times.The theme developed pays homage to the Fundamentals of Graphic Design — a set of principles that are the foundation of every visual medium. A variety of vibrant colors were selected to represent the diverse works of the graduating seniors. Bold, candid messages in a clean, san-serif were layered to create a system of engaging graphics promoted throughout social media.

	San Diego’s South Park is a charming neighborhood known for its rich history, tree-lined streets and local businesses. A hidden gem with a high sense of community, South Park offers laidback vibes and public events where they celebrate their local arts, crafts, and culture.
This neighborhood guide focuses on four independently owned shops: Vinyl Junkies, The Book Catapult, Communal Coffee, and Bad Madge 
&#38;amp; Co. The typography chosen reflects South Park’s vibrant and modern aesthetic. A rustic color palette was paired with a pop of blue to inter-twine South Park’s old San Diego charm to the eclectic community it is today.

	Founded in 1978, The Robert Frost Society aims to educate and discuss Robert Frost’s life and works. Upon finding a new home at the San Diego Public Library, a rebrand was needed. The task was to create a logo and develop a brand that included the architectural dome of the library while staying true to Frost aesthetics.

	Classic, insightful and poetic are three words that describe The Robert Frost Society. The elegant serif typeface paired with the bold, bookplate inspired mark expresses a classic style with a modern approach. The mark itself gives an insight into Frost’s life - his interest in astronomy and nature as well as incorporating colors of autumn in his hometown, New England. 
The positive and negative construction of the brandmark represents the theme of duality that is often found in his poems. In addition, the shape of the moon hints at the library dome, the society’s new home.
